Recent Projects

We have used SRS Project Services for a number of school infrastructure projects which SRS have completed to a very high standard.  The company have been open and transparent in all their dealings, even suggesting ways to save money and achieve cost efficiencies at the tendering stage.  I particularly like the in-depth breakdown of the quotes we have received and the detailed progress updates as the projects have progressed.  These updates, together with the project completion notice, include photographs and detailed descriptions of all work undertaken.  The materials used have been of the highest quality and the finished product superior to other work we have carried out in the past.  Steve Shergold is engaging and knowledgeable, he has proven his reliability and integrity.  He managed to reuse some of our fencing and gave us a credit for this in our final invoice.

I have sought his advice for solutions to a wide range of issues and always found this to be well considered and thorough. I would highly recommend SRS Project Services and would welcome visits to the school site to inspect their work – they have become our go-to company and I could not be happier with the service and support we receive from them.

IMG_9362.jpeg
IMG_9656.jpeg

Working alongside Clovis Canopies, we were engaged to provide all the civil and groundworks elements for this stunning pavilion building for the Hampshire School.

At some 375m2, this has resulted in a fantastic covered area that presents a wide spectrum of uses for the school going forward.

Modular Building For KBS at Toynbee School

Another great project working with KBS.

This modular building has provided some much needed additional learning space for the secondary school, utilising an area of the school site that had no specific purpose prior to the install.

Again, modular buildings are a great option due to the short "order-to-handover" timescales that can be achieved.

A beautiful setting in the Heart of Somerset to construct this all weather menage.

This particular project involved the use of a new type of surface sourced by the customer which requires a significantly less amount of surface material.

Internal fencing and Gates for The Toynbee School

IMG_9536.jpeg

This project at Toynbee School involved a series of combined fencing projects to achieve a completely new format for the school.

The new installations have created a "zone" within the school boundaries that allows for uninterrupted student circulation while ensuring the school remains secure.

The works consisted of upgrading existing trackways and creating additional roads that would be suitable to to support high volumes of lorry movements.

New Automated Gates In Andover

IMG_0439.jpeg

This project called for a completely new automated gate system for the vehicle entrance and exit gates along with two additional pedestrian access.

Working with our supply chain partners, we constructed a bespoke series of gates and respective automation to meet the needs of the school.

Incorporating thPaxton Net2 advanced access control system , Its functionality supports a wide range of features that facilitate the management of staff, control of entry points, and scheduling of access times.

Civils and Groundworks installation for KBS at The Noadswood Academy

IMG_0172.jpeg

We were engaged by KBS to provide the groundwork and services elements for this new and much needed SEN unit at a prominent Hampshire Academy school.

The project had a very small window of just 4  months from conception to completion.

Our scope captured all the external requirements from foundations and access ramps to utilities and fencing

Working with KBS from the design stage, we were able to configure a program that enabled these objectives to be met. The project was a great achievement by all involved for which SRS were proud to have been a part of.

A frequent requirement at schools is to continually improve and enhance the overall site security.

At Hamble, the existing fencing had reached the end of its serviceable life and so we were awarded the contract of installing a 450m long perimeter fence using the popular 656 mesh system.

We were engaged to provide the infrastructure and cast-in-situ formwork concrete that houses the the weighbridge.

This was the second weighbridge infrastructure we had installed for the company within 12 month period.

New Equestrian Arena New Milton

With over 20 years experience constructing horse arenas and associated infrastructure with Equitred Ltd, it was a pleasure to be asked to assist with this project.

The new works included the arena at circa 40m x 20m in size along with stoned turn out area and perimeter fencing to both the arena and the overall filed itself.

Ramp and Outdoor Play Area The Early Years Group

PG2.png
PG1.png

The Early Years group had installed a new bay unit at one of their Nursery sites. Due to the levels, there was a need to achieve ramp access but they did not want to end up with a hard style construction  (concrete and bricks etc) that would take away from the rural feel of the setting.

In response to this, we designed and installed a timber solution that also incorporated a flat landing area where the babies could achieve some outdoor space.

With some of the materials left over from the ramp works, we decided to build a little vegetable garden for some of the older children, which the staff were over the moon to receive.

Extended and Regenerated Car Park The Early Years Group

HS1.png
HS2.png

The school was in need of additional parking spaces and enquired with us if we could provide a solution to one of their current overflow car parks to achieve this without resulting in high costs of delivery. As seen from the first image, they were achieving circa 9 unregulated parking spaces.

Having surveyed the site, we were able to propose a series of improvement works and formation parking bay initiatives that would achieve better utilization of the area. In addition, we also configured materials to the project that would help achieve a reduced delivery cost, such as timber sleepers instead of road kerbs and re-using existing fencing where possible.

The project went very well and on completion, we were able to deliver circa 26 new spaces along with a dedicated turning area at the far end.

Cycle Park and New Security Fencing The Hamble School.

CP1.png
CP2.png

With the increased demand on the school to achieve additional bicycle storage, we were engaged to extend the existing hard standing areas and incorporate a new perimeter security fence to demark the boundary of the extended works.

In doing so, we were also able to apply the initiative of extending the concreting works to the path edge boundary, reducing the maintenance of that area resulting in a more comprehensive finish to the works.

Stamped Concrete Hard Standing The Hamble School.

SC1.png
SC2.png

The school were implementing two additional food service points and had identified this area of grass as a suitable site to position the new module.

Even though the structure itself is only circa 20 square meters, the decision was taken to enhance the whole grass area as the increased footfall from the module would likely have a significant impact on this area.

The challenge when installing large areas of hard-standing is to try and achieve a finish that does not present an “industrial” feel. Our solution was to finish the area using a color impregnated stamp finish effect to the concrete. This process provides a slab or paving effect with the added durability that concrete delivers.

Garden Landscaping Domestic project.

DG.png

Due to the heavy clay content, the garden continually flooded. The owners were looking for something low maintenance that could be utilized all year round.

We undertook a series if initiatives that included the installation of a full aggregate drainage system along with lifting the levels to achieve a flush floor-to-garden finish. The lawn was lain artificial grass to complete complete the low maintenance requirements.

Timber works included new close board fencing to boundaries, decking patios and paths along with a heavy timber pergola seating area in the far corner.
